Low vision services

The Welsh Government-funded Low Vision Service Wales scheme has been in operation for over 20 years now and we have been associated with it from its inception.

If you are aware that you are not able to see as well as other people when wearing glasses or contact lens, or are already registered as sight or severely sight impaired, we can provide a specialist assessment.

The assessment is designed for us to be able to discuss your eye condition and the difficulties this may present in your everyday life in a more detailed manner than usual. We may then try out various different low vision aids, after which we can decide which ones may best help you and how to use them to best effect. Aids will then be ordered free of charge for you to take home on loan for as long as you may need them.

We will also help you get in touch with local services that may be of help such as clubs and societies, social services, or other medical professionals.
